About Me

My name is Mike Scalise and I am a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer with 1st Step Mortgage Corporation. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1995 and started my career in mortgage lending in 1996. I take a great deal of pride in helping people achieve their goals of homeownership and I realize that it is people that that drive my business, therefore, I am committed to building lasting relationships with the people that choose me for their financing. I also believe that no one else will provide the high level of service that I consistently provide to my clients for a lifetime.

I personally created Rockford’s only Employee Mortgage Benefit Program that gives great discounts to many Rockford area employees at over 50 area companies and growing. I am experienced and trained in all types of Residential Mortgage Lending Programs.

I am very involved with my family, church, and local community organizations. I am a proud member of the Rockford, Belvidere and Roscoe/Rockton Chambers of Commerce and I also serve on the board of the Rockford Area Services Association.
